Alma is the woman who bore Rod Reiss a daughter the family would never acknowledge, and who raised the child at arm's length on a remote farm, punishing her for a life neither of them had chosen.
The Mother Who Would Not Look
Kept on a farm far from the Reiss household, Alma spent her days reading and her nights riding out in a carriage, and never once treated Historia as her daughter. When the child copied a storybook and tried to embrace her, Alma shoved her away and told her she should never have been born.
Executed Before Her Daughter
When Rod Reiss came to take the girl away, Kenny and the Interior's men intercepted them, sent to erase the affair. Alma swore the child had nothing to do with her and Rod denied them both; Kenny killed her on the spot, and she cursed her daughter's existence with her last words.
