Krista Lenz is a kind-hearted and compassionate trainee of the 104th Cadet Corps, known among her fellow cadets for her gentle nature and willingness to help others. Despite the harsh demands of military training, she shows concern for those around her and tries to support her comrades whenever she can.
An Isolated Childhood on the Farm
As a child, Historia grows up on a remote farm, living apart from everyone else. Her mother rarely acknowledges her presence and refuses to speak to her, leaving Historia to endure a lonely upbringing without affection or warmth. The isolation shapes her quiet, self-effacing nature.
Frieda Visits and Erases Her Memories
During her lonely childhood, Historia is visited in secret by Frieda Reiss, who treats her with the kindness and affection she longs for. Frieda reads to her, comforts her, and encourages her to be a person who helps others. Before each visit ends, however, Frieda erases Historia's memories of their time together, leaving behind only a faint sense of warmth she cannot explain.
Given a New Identity
As a child, Historia's life changes forever when Rod Reiss reveals that he is her father. Soon afterward, Kenny kills her mother, and Rod decides that Historia must disappear from public view. Sent away under the new name Krista Lenz, she is forced to leave her former life behind and grow up with a new identity.
Choosing the Survey Corps
Krista Lenz chooses to join the Survey Corps after completing her training with the 104th Cadet Corps. Despite the danger beyond the Walls, her decision places her compassion and resolve on a path where kindness must endure beside duty and fear.
Bringing Jean's Horse
During the 57th Expedition Outside the Walls, Krista Lenz helps Jean Kirstein, Armin Arlert, and Reiner Braun by bringing Jean's horse back to them. Her timely action gives the group a way to keep moving through dangerous open ground and reflects her instinct to aid comrades in need.
The Promise at Castle Utgard
Trapped atop the crumbling tower of Castle Utgard as Pure Titans swarm below, Krista Lenz is reminded by Ymir of the promise they once made together in the snowy mountains. Moments later she watches Ymir leap into the horde and transform, fighting to keep her and the other survivors alive through the night.
Reveals Her True Name
After the Scout Regiment rescues the survivors of Castle Utgard, Krista Lenz kneels beside a gravely wounded Ymir and finally confesses the name she had buried for years: Historia. The moment marks the beginning of her struggle to stop living for others and reclaim the identity she had abandoned.
Ymir's Departure
During the Scouts' operation to recover Eren Yeager, Historia begs Ymir not to leave, but Ymir chooses to withdraw with Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover. Left behind with Ymir's wish that she live proudly as herself, Historia is forced to face a future without the person who taught her to want one.
Seized Alongside Eren
While the Survey Corps keeps her and Eren hidden from the Interior government, Kenny's Anti-Personnel Control Squad ambushes Levi's soldiers with firearms and maneuvering gear. Historia is carried off with Eren by men who want her for a reason nobody has explained to her.
The Worst Girl in the World
Rod tells her what she was born for: devour Eren, bring the Founding Titan back into the family and become the queen the Reiss line needs. Historia refuses, sends the serum flying out of her father's hands and calls herself the worst girl in the world — the first thing she has ever chosen entirely for herself.
The Blow That Ends Her Father
At Orvud District, Historia stands before the people as the true heir of the Walls and takes part herself in bringing down her father's Titan. The girl who survived only under a false name ends the Reiss family's hidden reign in the open, where everyone can see it.
Queen of the Walls
Historia is crowned queen. The order that hid her, renamed her and would have let her be killed ends with her on the throne, and the girl who spent her life being whatever others needed finally holds the power to decide what the Walls become.
Ymir's Final Letter
The Scouts bring Historia the letter taken from Reiner at Shiganshina. Ymir writes that death is waiting for her and retells the life she chose after regaining her humanity, ending with the one regret she still carries: that she never married Historia. As Historia touches the page, fragments of Ymir's memories reach her, including a final image of Ymir in chains before the power is passed on.
The Fifty-Year Plan
The arrangement Hizuru brings to the table is built on her body. Hizuru will spend fifty years raising the island to the world's level, and for fifty years the world must be held off — which means the queen takes the Beast Titan from Zeke, dies in thirteen years, and bears as many royal children as she can before she does. She agrees to it.
The Pregnancy That Bought Time
Then she turns up pregnant by a farmhand from her orphanage — a boy who used to bully her — and the whole schedule slides. A queen carrying a child cannot inherit a Titan, so the inheritance waits, and the plan the whole island is built on waits with it. Whether that was the point is a question nobody at the table is willing to ask her out loud.
He Offered to Edit Her Memory
Eren tells her what he is going to do to the world, and then offers her the way out he can give a queen: he will use the Founder to take the knowledge out of her head, so that whatever comes she will not have carried it. Her answer is not about the Rumbling at all. She asks him about having a child.
The Letter to the Ambassadors
Three years after the Rumbling the world's delegations sail for Paradis to talk, and the queen writes ahead to tell them what they are sailing into: the Yeagerists have spent those three years raising an army, and the island is ready for anyone who arrives with something other than talk in mind.
