    Moblit Berner is the steadfast deputy and aide to Hange Zoë in the Survey Corps. Ever trying to keep Hange's reckless curiosity from turning fatal, he shares their devotion to uncovering the truth about the Titans.

    Moblit assists Hange Zoë in studying the captured Titans, recording their data and struggling to hold back Hange's dangerous enthusiasm as the research grows ever more perilous.

    Aiding the Wounded Hange at Ragako

    Atop Wall Rose and still bearing the wounds of the recent battle, Hange Zoë presses on with the investigation into the vanished people of Ragako Village and the crippled Titan wearing the face of Connie's mother. Moblit stays at Hange's side, supporting the injured officer and helping piece together the terrible link between the villagers and the Titans.

    During the interrogation of the captured Interior officer Sannes, Moblit steps in to hold back Hange as their methods turn brutal, caught between loyalty to his superior and his own conscience.

    Gives His Life for Hange

    When Bertholdt transforms above Shiganshina, Moblit sees the blast coming before Hange. He throws his commander into a well and shields them with his own body. Hange survives burned and with one eye lost; Moblit dies in the explosion after spending years pulling them back from danger.
