    Nifa is a soldier of the Survey Corps who serves in Hange Zoë's squad. Serious and dependable, she carries out Hange's orders without hesitation, yet never loses sight of the young soldiers fighting beside her.

    Covering the Titan in the Wall

    The battle against the Female Titan tears open Wall Sina and leaves a Titan staring out of the breach. Nifa is among the soldiers of Hange Zoë's squad who cover its face from the sunlight before it can stir, and from the top of the Wall she watches Hange corner Pastor Nick, demanding to know what the Church has been hiding.

    Ymir in Her Care

    Once the rescue at Castle Utgard is over, the survivors are lifted back onto Wall Rose, and Hange leaves the gravely wounded Ymir in Nifa's care. The recruit who revealed herself as a Titan to save her comrades now lies unconscious, and Nifa keeps watch over her while the officers try to work out what that revelation means.

    Against the Armored Titan

    When Reiner and Bertholdt transform on top of the Wall, Nifa tends to the soldiers scalded by the Colossal Titan's steam, then drops from the parapet with Hange's squad to back Eren against the Armored Titan. She is cheering him on as he pins Reiner down when the Colossal Titan lets its body fall from the Wall onto the fighters below, and the impact knocks her unconscious.

    Erwin's Messenger

    When Pastor Nick is found murdered, Nifa rides out to bring the news to Erwin Smith, and Erwin sends her straight back with orders of his own for Levi. She leaves as the Military Police arrive to seize the regiment's belongings. The message she carries turns Levi's squad into fugitives: every activity of the Survey Corps is frozen, and the government wants Eren and Historia handed over. Hange places her under Levi's command for what comes next.

    Kenny the Ripper

    In Trost District, Nifa keeps watch from the rooftops over the carriage carrying the real Eren and Historia. Levi asks whether she has heard of Kenny the Ripper, the killer said to have slit the throats of more than a hundred Military Police in the capital. She dismisses him as an urban legend, and is appalled when Levi answers that he used to live with him. She turns back to the carriage and never sees Kenny come up behind her. He shoots her in the head before Levi can warn her.
