Faye and the Airship
At eleven, Grisha takes his little sister Faye beyond the fence of Liberio's internment zone to see an airship. Public Security officers catch them without permits: Kruger beats Grisha and Gross takes Faye away. Her body is found beside the river the next day, and Grisha's father apologizes to the men who killed her rather than risk the family that remains.

Joins the Eldian Restorationists
Seven years after Faye's death, Grice brings Grisha into the Eldian Restorationists on the secret orders of the Owl. Grisha accepts their forbidden account of Eldian history and becomes the movement's driving voice, turning the rage he has carried since childhood into a plan to overthrow Marley and restore Eldia.

Dina and the Royal Bloodline
The Owl sends Dina Fritz, the last royal descendant living in Marley, to the Restorationists. She and Grisha marry, and their son Zeke carries the bloodline that once commanded the Founding Titan. To the movement, their family becomes proof that restoring Eldia may be possible.

Raises Zeke for the Cause
Grisha and Dina raise Zeke as the Restorationists' instrument, drilling their history into him and pushing him toward Marley's Warrior programme so he can inherit one of the Nine Titans. They speak to him as an heir before seeing him as a child. At seven, overwhelmed and afraid, Zeke reports his parents to Public Security and exposes the movement.

The Sentence on Paradis
Marley ships Grisha, Dina and the captured Restorationists to the seawall on Paradis. One by one, the prisoners are injected and thrown down as Pure Titans; Grisha watches Dina lose her human form and walk away as the Smiling Titan. Kept until last, he survives only because the officer beside him reveals himself as the Owl.

Inherits the Attack Titan
With his thirteen years nearly spent, Kruger gives Grisha the mission that shapes his remaining years: enter the Walls, recover the Founding Titan and pass the struggle forward. Grisha accepts a Titan serum, transforms and devours Kruger, inheriting the Attack Titan before beginning the journey across Paradis alone.

Found Outside the Walls
Twenty years before the fall, a Survey Corps expedition under Keith Shadis found a man collapsed on open ground beyond the Walls. He had lost everything but his name and his trade as a physician, and the first thing he asked for was not shelter or food but an account of the world he had woken into — and of the soldiers who rode out past the Walls.

The Doctor Who Stopped the Plague
When an epidemic swept the district and Carla fell ill among the others, Grisha treated everyone he could reach and brought the outbreak to a halt. The stranger from beyond the Walls became the doctor Shiganshina trusted, married Carla, and built the ordinary life Keith would later remember as the beginning of everything.

The Record beneath the Basement
Behind a false bottom in his basement desk, Grisha leaves three books, a photograph of Dina and Zeke, and a written account beginning with the declaration that humanity has not perished. The record preserves the world beyond the Walls, his first family and the history Marley tried to erase so that Eren can inherit the truth even if Grisha never returns.

Grisha Seizes the Founding Titan
On the night Wall Maria falls, Grisha enters the Reiss Chapel and confronts Frieda Reiss, the royal holder of the Founding Titan. He transforms, defeats and devours her, kills the Reiss family gathered in the cavern except for Rod, and leaves carrying the power he came to take before finding Eren.

Injects Eren with the Serum
In the woods outside Shiganshina, with the district already falling, Grisha takes his son to the end of the road: he injects Eren with a Titan serum and, once the boy has turned, lets Eren devour him. The Founding Titan he tore from Frieda and his own Attack Titan both pass to a son who will remember none of it — only a basement key and a duty he cannot explain.

The Hand That Was Not His
The night in the chapel is replayed from inside his head and there is somebody else in it. His son is standing behind him in the Paths, pushing him through the door and showing him a future that has already happened. The man who slaughtered a family of children to steal the Founder was being steered by the boy he was about to give it to.

He Thanked the Son Who Turned Him In
Shown what his own certainty cost, he breaks in front of Zeke — the child he raised as a weapon and blamed for a betrayal — and thanks him for stopping him, apologising for having been a father who only ever had a cause. It is the reconciliation Zeke waited his whole life for, and it arrives after both of them are dead.
