One of the Nine, kept off every battlefield for a hundred years and held in reserve by the state that owns it. Where the other Titans harden a fist or a shell, this one manufactures: it grows the weapon the fight requires out of its own flesh, and then grows another.
It Builds What It Needs
The hardening other Titans use for armour, this one uses as a workshop. It grows a pike big enough to lift a fifteen-metre Titan off the ground, a hammer on a chain, fields of spikes underfoot, a crossbow, a whip that brings buildings down. In the plaza it takes the Attack Titan's head off with the weapon it is named for.
The Body That Is Not in the Nape
Every Titan has one weakness and everyone on both sides is trained to cut it. This one moved out. The holder sits crystallised in the ground somewhere nearby, joined to the Titan by a long cord of flesh, and works it by remote — so eight Thunder Spears through the nape destroy nothing that matters and the thing simply stands back up and builds a crossbow.
Taken With Another Titan's Jaws
Eren finds the crystal at the end of the cord and cannot bite through it; the only thing in Liberio that can is the Jaw Titan's teeth. So he cripples Galliard, wedges the crystal into his mouth and closes the jaws on it. The power crosses the sea that afternoon, and the family that hid it for a century no longer has it.
What Eren Builds With It
Underground, behind stone, Eren tells his own commander that the cell is a courtesy: he has been able to leave since the day he came back. He proves it the night Zackly is killed, opening a route out through the rock with hardened flesh and sealing it behind him so nobody can follow. In Shiganshina the same power settles the fight against the two Titans sent to take him: rows of spikes come out of the ground and skewer the Jaw and the Armored Titan in place, and a wall of them grows behind his back whenever something tries to reach his nape.
Raised Once More
At the end Ymir Fritz builds every Titan the Nine ever made to stand over Eren, and the War Hammer is among them — impaling Pieck as she sets her charges on his nape. She climbs out of the ruined body, transforms again and kills it. When Eren dies the Titan ceases to exist along with all the rest.

For thirteen years the question of which Tybur carried it was a state secret — Magath, who commands every other Titan Marley owns, was invited to guess and could not. The answer walks out of the wreckage of her brother's stage in the festival plaza and transforms in front of the world's press.
Eren Yeager
He could not break the crystal with his own teeth, so he used Galliard's. From that afternoon the Attack Titan can build as well as break: it raises hardened flesh where there was none, and pins two Titans to the ground at once.
