Battles the Horde Until Dawn
Through the night the Jaw Titan holds the line at Castle Utgard, bringing down the ruined tower and shielding Krista Lenz and the remaining defenders from the endless Pure Titans. Overwhelmed at last and set upon by the horde, it is saved only by the timely arrival of the Scout Regiment.
Seizes Krista and Flees
Refusing to abandon Krista Lenz, Ymir transforms once more in the Forest of Giant Trees, snatches Krista in its jaws and charges through the Scouts to escape alongside the Armored Titan, carrying the pursuit deeper into the trees.
It Went Home
Marley spends five years believing this power is lost on the island — and then it walks back across the sea and surrenders itself. Ymir returns to give it up, and it is handed to Porco Galliard, the brother of the warrior it was taken from in the first place.
What Marley Uses It For
Off the island it is not a duel weapon, it is a breaching tool. Small, four-legged and faster than anything its size, with armoured jaws and claws that go through what the other Titans have to hammer. At Fort Slava it opens the defences, bites the rail lines apart and clears the trenches for the heavier Titans behind it.
The Only Teeth That Could
Titan crystal cannot be broken by a blade, by artillery or by the Attack Titan's own jaw. It can be broken by this one. Eren works that out in the middle of Liberio, cripples the Jaw Titan and forces its mouth shut on Lara Tybur's shell — using the Titan as a tool rather than fighting it.
It Changed Hands Mid-Battle
Galliard is dying under Shiganshina with the power still in him and, beside him, a boy a scream has just turned into a Titan. So he lets that Titan eat him. The Jaw does not wait for an altar, a ceremony or a list of candidates: it passes from a veteran of two wars to a child, in the middle of the battle both of them are losing.
The One With Wings
The body Falco gets is wrong: a long neck, a hinged mouth and something on its back no Jaw Titan has ever had. The spinal fluid that turned him was Zeke's, and with it came the memory of a Beast Titan holder shaped like a bird. It flies — and becomes the only way anyone reaches or leaves Eren's back.

He was carrying it when he reached the island, and he was carrying it when a Titan came out of the ground and he pushed Reiner out of the way. Nobody chose to give this power up: it was eaten off him by something that did not know what it was doing.

Porco Galliard
When Ymir crossed back to the continent to return what she had taken, Marley fed her to the one candidate with a claim on it. Porco inherited her entire life along with the Titan — and not one second of his own brother's.
Falco Grice
He did not take it: he was turned into a mindless Titan by a scream he never agreed to, and Galliard, bleeding out and beyond regeneration, walked into his mouth on purpose. The Jaw that comes back has a long neck, a hinged jaw and wings, because the fluid that transformed him was Zeke's.
