   The head of the Tybur family, the Eldians Marley does not fence in. He is charming, courteous and visibly frightened, and he has come to Liberio to put on a play about the end of the Great Titan War in front of the world's press.

   The Family That Rules Marley

   Alone with Magath at headquarters, he says it plainly: the Tyburs are the real government of Marley and have been for a century, standing back and letting the nation do as it liked as penance for what Eldia once did to it. He is done standing back. He asks the commander to work with him, and tells him what the festival is really for.

   He Priced His Own Death In

   He wants the stage, the foreign press and as many Marleyan officers in the front rows as the plan can bait. Magath tells him it cannot be defended and that he will die on it. Willy answers that a man who survives is a man nobody listens to: the Eldians of Liberio have to become the world's victims, and he intends to be one of them.

   Helos Never Existed

   On the stage at the plaza he takes Marley's founding story apart in front of every nation at once. No hero killed the Devil of All Earth. The 145th king took pity on Marley, abandoned the continent by choice and let the Tyburs invent Helos to explain it — and a century of Eldians have paid for a victory nobody won.

   He Declared War on Paradis

   Then he names the danger: the three Walls are millions of Colossal Titans, the vow that holds them is bound to the royal line, and the Founder is now in the hands of someone outside it — Eren Yeager. Given the choice he says he would rather never have been born; but he was born, and he wants to live. He asks the world for its armies and declares war on Paradis.

   Killed by the War He Declared

   The answer arrives before the sentence is finished. The Attack Titan comes up through the building behind him, takes the stage apart and throws his broken body into the air over the crowd he had gathered to witness it — then eats what is left of him. The war Marley spent a century fighting on other people's ground begins in its own streets, on schedule, without him.
