An ambassador of Hizuru, a nation on the far side of the world that used to matter and would like to again. She is unfailingly courteous, entirely unsentimental about money, and the only foreign dignitary in Liberio who does something kind for an Eldian without being asked.
The Crest on Mikasa's Wrist
Zeke bought Hizuru with a rock: Paradis sits on the iceburst stone that fuels the world's new machines, and the Azumabito clan is broke. She arrives to negotiate and finds something she was not sold — Mikasa Ackerman, the last descendant of the shogun's line, wearing a family crest her mother cut into her arm.
Fifty Years and a Queen
Her half of the plan is patient and monstrous in equal measure. Hizuru will spend fifty years dragging the island's technology up to the world's — and for fifty years the world has to be held off, which means the queen must take the Beast Titan from Zeke and bear as many royal children as thirteen years allow, so the deterrent never lapses.
The Wine on the Kimono
At the ambassadors' party in Liberio a Warrior candidate serving the tables loses his concentration and puts a glass of wine down her kimono. Udo is expecting to be punished for it in front of the room. She tells him not to make a scene and announces to the table that the spill was her own fault — and he cannot work out why she would do that for an Eldian.
She Did Not Stay for the Play
She goes backstage before the performance to see Willy Tybur's face, tells him he looks terrible, calls him a brave man and says she hopes he gets through his duty without incident. Then she walks out, tells her escort it is time to go, and is not in the plaza when the stage comes apart. She knew, and she came to say goodbye.
We Truly Wish to Protect You
Sent to wait by the harbour for her own safety, she finds Mikasa first and offers her a place on the Azumabito ship if things go badly. She is candid about the arithmetic: if the island falls, Hizuru drops her family. Her clan is laughed at now as a pack of money-grubbing vixens — and it has not lost its pride any more than Mikasa's mother did when she cut the crest into her daughter's wrist.
She Took Floch's Weapon Off Him
The Yeagerists hold her and her engineers at the harbour and begin shooting them one at a time to make the rest cooperate. She is not visibly frightened; she tells Floch that flattening the world will not stop Eldians killing Eldians. When he moves to execute the mechanics, the ambassador in the kimono disarms him and puts him on the ground.
Take It to Odiha
Hiding in a basement under a firefight, her mechanics tell the room that the flying boat needs half a day of work it is not going to get. She supplies the way out: there is an island off Marley's coast called Odiha with the equipment to do it faster. It is her plan that puts the aircraft in the air, and it costs Magath and Hange their lives to run.
The Ambassadors Arrive
Sailing away from Odiha she tells Annie they are bound for a Hizuru that has almost certainly stopped existing, and admits she is one of the people who made the Rumbling possible. Asked whether she would change anything, she says the clock does not turn back and she will live with it. Three years later she stands beside the queen, waiting for the world's ambassadors to land on Paradis.
