Nile Dok is the commander of the Military Police Regiment and takes part in decisions affecting the safety of humanity after the Defense of Trost. Calm, formal and committed to order, he approaches extraordinary situations with caution and believes that difficult choices must follow established authority and procedure.
Opposition at Eren's Trial
During Eren's Trial, Nile Dok argues against entrusting Eren Yeager to the Scout Regiment. Speaking for the Military Police, he treats Eren as a grave threat to public order and supports a cautious response rooted in authority, containment, and the protection of humanity inside the Walls.
The Order He Refused
With his old friend Erwin Smith condemned, a report claims Wall Rose has fallen and the royal council orders Wall Sina sealed against the refugees. Nile's family lives beyond those gates. The commander who argued for order at Eren's trial refuses the Crown: he is a human of Wall Rose before he is its officer. His choice exposes the government and opens the way for the coup d'état.
He Sent Falco Home
Imprisoned among the officers who drank Zeke's wine, Nile tells Falco to seize any chance to see his family again, because Nile may never see his own wife and daughters. When battle frees them, he spots Colt nearby, pretends to take Falco into custody and quietly returns the boy to his brother. He waves them away and goes back to fight.
Zeke's Scream
Zeke screams before Falco can escape the district. The spinal fluid in Nile's wine answers with every other infected soldier's: his body becomes one of the Pure Titans in the streets of Shiganshina. The commander who chose to return one child to his family loses the self that made that choice.
The Titan Gabi Killed
Without Zeke's control, Nile's Pure Titan chases the Blouse family through Shiganshina and corners Kaya. Gabi — the girl who stopped Colt from shooting Nile moments before he returned Falco — fires the anti-Titan rifle down its throat and kills him, saving Kaya. The mercy he showed Falco ends in the act that completes Gabi's change.
